When I got married in 2003, my friend Jommel was still trading pokemon cards…Literally. I’m 11 years older than he. We became friends about 5 years ago while taking a class together; and I really consider him a dear friend despite the fact that he found a pokemon in my kitchen last week. He rolls his eyes every time I tell him “you just wont let PokemonGo!” I cant help myself.
He and his girlfriend dated only about 2 years before he popped the question. They were married just last month. I had the honor of being a groomsman. I was reluctant; the thought of hanging out the night before the wedding…me…with a bunch of millenials…riding in the limo…sipping champagne…laughing…having…FUN…I tried to wiggle out of it. (I’m an introvert)
“Jommel you got 6 guys in your wedding party, I don’t mind just watching and taking pictures” I said, hoping he would take the bait.
“Charles, I want you to a be a part of it” He said deliberately as if he knew what i was thinking.
To Make a long story short, I went, took the walk, smiled for the pics. It was a great time and beautiful wedding. But Most importantly, I was able to stand in support of a dear friend on his wedding day. Congrats Bro!
As I do with most places I go, I brought the drone along, just in case. Here is a short clip of some of the footage we took. Enjoy. click here to see the video
